Diabetes:
Have grape fruit juice three times a day or a tablespoon of amla juice mixed with a cup of karela juice or eat 10 fresh curry leaves. Don’t eat too much of carrots, peas, beans, sweet potato, beet root, bananas, dry fruits, or mango raisins.
Insomnia:
DEat plenty of curd or drink a glass of water with 2 teaspoons of honey.
Jaundice:
Mesh a ripe banana, along with one tablespoon of honey, and eat it twice a day. , Oor take 1/2 teaspoon of ginger juice with one teaspoon of fresh lime and mint. The juice of Bel fruit is also good for the lever.
Joint Pains:
Squeeze half a lemon in one glass of hot water and drink it 8 to 10 times a day. Having lemon juice gives your body Vitamin C , whichthat is valuable. Massage your joints with neem oil.
Blood Pressure:
Swallow 2 flakes of garlic daily. High blood pressure can be cured by daily intake of 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder mixed with 1/4 cup of curd on an empty stomach.
High Cholesterol and Heart Diseases:
Grind dried amlas to a fine powder. Mix an equal weight of sugar candy (Mishri) and store in a glass bottle. Have one teaspoon every morning with a glass of water on an empty stomach
Thyme (ajwain) : It not only acts as an expectorant and antiseptic, but relieves bronchial spasms and dries up secretions. Make a thyme tea by steeping 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried thyme leaves in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes.Drink up to 3 times a day
Honey and Onions Doesn’t sound too appetizing, but this cough remedy has thrived for generations in the Spanish Basque folk tradition. Overnight, soak a sliced onion in enough honey to cover it.The next day strain and discard the onion. Then dilute the honey with enough lime juice to reach the consistency of cough syrup.Take a tablespoonful at two hour intervals all day until your symptoms subside. The onion’s allicin, a powerful antibacterial chemical, may seep into the honey, which ahs has mild antibacterial effects in the throat.
Sweet ‘n’ Sour : 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon lime juice in a glass of warm water can help dissolve mucous in the throat.
Turmeric: Add a pinch of turmeric to a cup of hot milk with sugar candyjaggery to taste.
2 tablespoon tulsi leaf juice and a teaspoon of honey soothes a sore throat.
Soak almonds overnight. Remove their skin. Make a paste of these almonds with little butter and sugarjaggery. Very useful for a dry cough. Hot herbal tea with lemon and raspberry (jam, if fresh fruit is not available), drink as much as possible Drink hot milk with honey at bedtime for cough relief
Herbs :Combine 28 grams sliced fresh ginger, 1 broken up cinnamon stick, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, 3 cloves, 1 slice of lime, 1/2½ liter water. Simmer for 15 minutes, then strain. Drink a hot cupful every 2 hours.The lime has plenty of vitamin C (a recommended cold fighter), while the ginger and spices provide the antibacterial effect
OR Add 1/2″ ginger, 6 tulsi leaves, 1 bay leaf, 3 peppercorns, and 1 clove to 1/2 liter water with palm sugar to taste. Boil for 15 minutes. Strain and drink hot, as often as you please. The pepper dilates blood vessels in the nose and stimulates secretions which help drain sinuses. Chilli powder, or red pepper , also has the same effect and, in addition, possesses anti inflammatory properties.
Ginger : Take an inch of ginger and wash thoroughly.Scrape the skin and chop into 3 to 4 pieces. Add a tablespoon of water. Churn thoroughly in a mixer and strain out the juice in a gauzy cloth. Discard the pulp. Add a teaspoon of honey (a mild antibacterial), a pinch of turmeric (today a proven antiseptic), stir well. Drink half in the morning and half in the evening. The mixture keeps well under refrigeration.
Garlic : Its pungent active ingredient, allicin (the same one in onions), works especially well against infections such as bronchitis and sinusitis, which often result from colds and flu. Some experts believe allicin destroys the cold and flu viruses themselves, though this theory hasn’t been scientifically proven.
Eat one or two cloves a day of raw or lightly sauteed garlic, all at once or in small doses.
Wash 2-3 dried figs very well, and & soak in a glass of cold water overnight. Have it first thing in the morning. Similarly, have figs in the evening that have been soaked in the morning. Have them for 2-3 weeks for good results. It is effective treatment for ordinary piles, as well as bleeding piles.
Mix 1 teaspoon fresh mint leaves juice with 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ande & 1 tablespoon honey. Take 3 times a day for relief from piles. Boil a mashed ripe banana in 1 teacup milk, and & take 2-3 times a day.
Apply a crushed onion, which has been skinned and roasted, to dry and bleeding piles.
Boil some tea in a little water and let it cool. Dip 2 gauzes in this brew, and place the gauzes on each eye for 15 minutes. Make sure you keep dipping the cotton wads into the liquid, as soon as gauzes dry up.
Effective treatment for tired eyes
For tired eyes, wash them with cold water, several times a day.This treatment reduces inflammation, moisturizers the skin /tissues, relaxes the eyes, and & provides relief from eyestrain & fatigue.
Lavender oil offers gentle relief for tired and strained eyes. Add onea drop of laveender oil to 500 ml (2 ½ cups) of water and shake the solution well. Dip two cotton wool pads in the liquid, squeeze out the excess water and place one pad over each eye.
Tumeric: Soak 5 grams of tumeric, plus ½ gram sea salt, soak in 1 liter of water for 15 minutes. Strain thru gauze or cotton. Wash the eyes with this solution.
